I recently had to deploy a small subversion server, but I wanted to extend it a little to provide me with automatic off-site backups to dropbox.

This tutorial is for the linux noob, someone that has no knowledge on how linux works.

I compiled this tutorial from various blog posts, and rather than providing a whole lot of links, I rewrote everything to what worked for me from a fresh install (everything didn’t work exactly as is from the blog posts.  I give credit and links to the blog posts where it’s due below.
